Amie and I began our morning with egg burritos at home, followed by playing with new care package toys. Thanks to Owen and Oliver, and to Martha, for fun new toys! “Bullseye is my best friend!” Next, we walked to Cafe Coffee Day for a mid-morning snack. Big girl While we waited for our treats, I taught Amie how to take pictures. Not bad Ams! Hmm. I like this interpretation. Miss Amelie is every bit the two-year-old all of a sudden. Fiercely independent, she wants to do everything by herself. Frequent temper tantrums result when she figures out this is impossible. Blood-curdling screams when her brother bothers her (which, sadly, happens often). Never-ending questions of “What’s that?” and exclamations of “Mines!” This kid wants to be where the action is, and wails whenever she is left behind. But she’s good at playing quietly and entertaining herself too. She is a true girl, with random outbursts of emotion that sometimes leave all of us scratching our heads. To quote my mother-in-law: “One thing I appreciate about Amie is that you never…
