We have been away for five days, traveling in our country, seeing some more of the work we are here to do.  We rode on planes, on a train, in cars and taxis, on a ferry, went to three cities, saw a famous monument, visited a fishing village, swam in an ocean, slept a little, and took tons of pictures.

I will begin posting these for you very soon.

But for now, I am very tired.

All my life I have longed to be the cool traveler-chick who wants to back-pack across continents and stay in hostels and take like two showers a month.

But I am not.

I take an afternoon nap.  I love comfortable hotels.  I travel with a hair dryer.  I wear make-up.  I hate bugs of any kind.  I like my coffee with two sugars and a half-inch of cream.

That is the kind of girl I am.

I say all this for those of you who don’t know me well — because, while I hope you imagine me as the traveler-chick, I feel compelled to help you know the truth.

So, this week was exhausting at best.  The things we saw and the people we met were worth everything, but they came at a price.  The travel was a little rough.  The hotels even rougher.  The bathrooms … there are no words.

Judah and Amie are my heroes.  This was not a kid-friendly trip, but, all things considered, they were amazing.  We put them in bed at 7:45 tonight and have not heard one peep.

And now … I am off too.  Good night, dear friends.

Photos to come!
