Amelie’s birthday isn’t until the 10th, but we’ll be out of town next week, so we celebrated yesterday at our family’s 4th of July get together. We took the kids to Wal-Mart beforehand and let Ams pick out her own party supplies (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), party favors, and candles. I think she loved the process as much as her party. The kids have had a fun week with Priya while David and I are laid up. They love playing at her apartment, which is a couple miles from where we live. girls’ weekend.
David and Judah are spending the weekend in a Kerala village for friends’ son’s baptism. They took their first trip on an overnight train and are having lots of adventures. I stole a couple hours to myself yesterday before they left . . . roamed around downtown and explored some new streets and ended up at a favorite cafe for a caramel cappuccino.
