waiting.
Well, if you are on Facebook, you may know by now that we arrived at the airport last night, had a wonderful, tearful send-off from church and family, went through security, only to find that our first flight was delayed. And after two hours of waiting in lines (David) and chasing screaming kids around the airport (Julie), we learned our next flight isn’t until Saturday afternoon.
When Judah found out we weren’t getting on a plane for South Asia last night, he threw himself on the ground and wailed at the top of his lungs. Sometimes I think it would be nice to be a three-year-old.
But God is good. He knows what is best for us. So we are waiting. Back here, at my parents’ house. We hardly know what to feel right now, except both of us realized we are miraculously at peace. And we our going to cherish a couple more nights’ sleep and a few more hugs from our family.
Here is Judah’s interpretation of last night on the phone with Maggie:
Judah: “We didn’t go to South Asia ‘cause the plane was brokened”
Maggie: “I know, I heard that, Judah. I’m sorry.”
Judah: “When the mailman comes, he’s gonna fix the airport.
It was a hard time.”
