look who’s here!
David’s aunt, Pat, has a business trip in a nearby city next week, and came to visit us for the weekend! We are so, so happy to have her. Pat lives in Seattle, and we realized that the kids (and us) have not actually seen her since Christmas, 2009, but she, David’s aunt, Cathy and cousin, Annie, are such very important people in Judah and Amie’s life. gentino family christmas.
We celebrated Christmas together on Friday, and it was lovely. Gifts first thing, then fresh hot banana bread and coffee, a Skype date with Cathy, Annie and Pat, and everyone pitching in to make a Christmas dinner feast. After naptime we went to a favorite cafe for lattes, then had a picnic dinner of leftovers on the terrace, and pie and whipped cream for dessert!

palace tour.
The last stop of our trip was a tour of the palace. We had an hour-long tour of the inside of the palace (no photos allowed), then roamed the grounds. Afterwards, we stopped for lunch, then headed home. A good time was had by all!
