moving day.
The movers showed up at 7:45 a.m. and were fast, careful and professional.
I dropped Judah off for the last day at his preschool, then Amie went to our friends’ so I could go check on the packing-up process . . .
. . . and take David a cup of coffee.
Meanwhile, Ams, Joshua and Caleb had craft time. Alison said, “Can you tell which painting was done by the girl?”
David headed to the new flat mid-morning to do some cleaning, and I hung around to oversee the packing up.
Alison took the kiddos down to the playground.
By 11:30 the place was empty and the movers on their way downtown.
Amie waited to have her tempter tantrum until I got to the playground of course.
Sometimes I think this sums up what it’s like to have a two-year-old.
On to pick Judah up from school.
He said good-bye to the aunties and I felt a little teary. This place has been one of the best parts about our first year.
Next up, we met the gang at the dosa place for pooris (fried flat bread) and ice cream.
Judah is super into food art these days.
Anju gave our flat one last cleaning, then we said our good-byes over at Colleen’s place.
The movers were finished and gone by 3 p.m., so the kids and I loaded up and headed to King Street. I was hoping we’d get the pink auto.
And then . . . home sweet new home.
. . . And I’ve been organizing like a crazy person ever since!
