lindsey’s wedding.
If it seems like we just went to Florida for my cousin’s wedding, we did! Brad got married January 31st, and his sister Lindsey got married on Saturday. The kids and I were super bummed David couldn’t come along this time, but we had a great time road-tripping with Kenny and Shari and the boys.
If you’ll excuse the grainy phone pics, I’ll tell you about our weekend!
Here we are packed in the van. We couldn’t fit three kids’ seats in the way way back like we hoped, so Shari and I took turns (although she graciously took much longer turns because of my propensity toward carsickness). Favorite movies watched in the back were Monsters University and Despicable Me 2, and I enjoyed more conversation with my brother than we’ve gotten in a long time.
Ahhhh sunny Florida. 81 degrees all weekend. Perfect swimming weather (although the water was still too cold for most of us).
Wet, happy, fearless-in-the-water Oliver.
Speaking of cousins, here’s a blast from the past thanks to Aunt Susan. Lindsey (far left) was the lady of the weekend. L to R: Betsy, Jules, Allison, Amy.
Shari and I may or may not have sneaked out during nap time for an Ikea run. You can tell from the look on my face that I don’t get out much.
The wedding Saturday night was just beautiful, and I felt so blessed to stand up with our big, sprawling family and thank God for all these people He’s given to me. We just keep growing, by birth and by marriage, and I love that. The more the merrier!
My lovely cousin Evie and her hubby David were the wedding musicians (along with Kenny, who played dulcimer). They did an incredible job.
More wedding fun. One of the best parts of the night was the “dance party” which I have no pictures of because of course I was too busy dancing.
Sunday morning family breakfast tradition at First Watch Cafe. My mom’s sister Sally isn’t here at breakfast, but all 6 Enlow siblings and spouses were able to be at the wedding. I think the last time that happened was when my grandfather passed away in January, 2012. We all missed him this weekend.
Aaaand everyone was exhausted on the car ride home Sunday.
So many fun memories!
