grandpa and mum-mum.
I’ve been trying to do more living-in-the-moment and less photographing-every-moment lately which is nice, but a sad result is that I’m failing to document some of our fun memories of the year. We spent this past weekend with David’s parents and loved being able to show them our new house — thankfully David snapped a few photos with his phone.
After family breakfast at The Gourmet Shop on Saturday morning, Linda and I did some shopping downtown while the men took Judah and Amie to “Repticon,” a reptile show at the Jamil Temple. Anything at the Jamil Temple is sure to be a cultural experience and from what I hear Repticon was no exception.
We narrowly missed gaining a sugar glider as a pet — thankfully the price tag of $240 held the guys at bay (not sure how a sugar glider is a reptile).
And Judah lived one of his dreams of meeting statue-Yoda (also not a reptile as far as I know).
Linda and I returned home in the afternoon to find this . . . interesting . . . operation covering the dining table
What do you do when your dad comes to town? Why, hand-roll your own cigars of course.
We feasted on David’s signature smoked pork shoulder, secret BBQ sauce, and Sara Foster sweet potato rolls.
A highlight of the weekend was having Steve and Linda visit CPC, and Steve as a PCA ruling elder helped David serve communion to our church family. A memory I’ll always treasure. Thanks for making the trek, Dad and Mom G!
