judah.
I feel blessed to be spending today, my boy’s fifth birthday, in the town where he was born. It brings back lots of memories. I’ve never done a blog post birth story for my kids, so my blog is incomplete. Well, there’s no time like the present! We moved here to Lititz in July, 2007, when I was seven months pregnant. We’d both just quit our jobs, David had traveled with the youth group all summer, and we were tired. My parents moved us and our possessions up here in a U-Haul all in one weekend. friday.
Today we got to hang out with one of my bff’s, Lauren, and her three kids, Lily, Beret, and Grayson. She lived in Hershey while we were in Lititz, and we’d have sleepovers when Judah and Lily were just a few months old. ams and the ducklings.
Today’s the last day with the ducks (they get dropped off at Roots farm market this afternoon), so indulge me while I post a hundred more pics of our girl enjoying her duckies. P.S. No ducklings were harmed in the making of this post. But I can’t promise they weren’t traumatized.

judah’s birthday party.
Our boy doesn’t turn five (what?? five!?) until Saturday, the 8th. But David will be in South Asia, so we decided to celebrate this weekend, while the whole family was together.

ducks.
Steve got the grandkids ducks for Labor Day weekend from the farm auction. Judah and Ilan are captivated, but Amie and Lina are obsessed. The ducks are called Maximus and Phillipe (cool points if you can figure out where those names come from).

a happy day.
Life is really stressful now (I know! I mention that in about every other blog post!). Sometimes it’s hard to tear our minds away from the mountain of decisions that need to be made, and made soon. But in the midst of the stress, God gives us such sweet moments. Like a five-hour date last night, thanks to my cousin Betsy. And like this morning, when Amy and Charissa and I took our kids to the Lake Murray beach. I love these girls–they and their husbands are good friends of ours from college. I think, years ago, we would have day-dreamed that one day our kids would be friends. And…
