Books and kids are so precious! Love seeing the photos.
I never saw a picture of the dresses you and Martha had specially sewn for you. Will we ever see them?
The faces in an earlier post were truly beautiful.
The shrine was interesting. Do they eat the fruit from the shrine?
Glad your mother is coming to visit. Nothing better than Grandmothers.
Will continue to pray for your health, Julie. I am a faithful reader of your blog, but not a faithful commenter. Hope to improve.
Hi Rachel! Yeah, I am bummed we never got a picture of Martha and me in our outfits. I will have David take one of me and post it so you can see how it turned out. Martha looked as cute as can be in hers of course! Good question about the fruit at the shrine … will ask Anju. Yes, I am so very happy my mama is coming too! Thanks for your comment! Miss you guys!
Not sure if this is the correct answer or not but I was told that they do not eat the fruit. The fruit is for the gods. They leave it then take it away. Not sure how they reconcile the gods needing to be fed, leaving fruit and the fruit never leaving. I have also been told they have to wake and bathe the gods too…. maybe more the Muslim gods than the Hindu.
