      sick. Tuesday, May 10, 2011     Amie and I are under the weather this week — she with a bad cold and me with a sinus infection.  Please pray that we get better before our twenty-three hour trip this week!

      painting. Monday, May 9, 2011     (there was a little mix-up at the beginning, where Amie thought the paint was supposed to go on her face) Judah painted pictures for “my cousin Annie,” “Joe,” and “Mum-Mum.”  And Miss Amelie?  For “Jo-fan” (Jonathan). My heart swells with love for these two kids.  I am overwhelmed that God made them and gave them to David and me.  We couldn’t have possibly picked out their sweet faces or little voices or personalities more perfectly.  He did a good job.     six days.

      six days. Friday, May 6, 2011   Six days until we leave for the U.S. . . . but who’s counting? I feel like I ought to be busier than I am right now, but actually this has probably been the most restful of any week since we moved here.  It is so nice to have my husband home, daily swims now that the pool is fixed, and just a few little odd projects before we leave. I have discovered that I have a passion for organization.  I’m going through our apartment closet by closet putting things in order and loving it.  I am very into using baskets right…

    the park.

    Thursday, May 5, 2011 These pictures are from a couple weeks ago — you can see Amie’s battle wounds from her pack-and-play tumble. We spent this morning in a huge park right at the center of our city, about a thirty-minute auto ride from our apartment.  Sometimes I daydream about living here, within walking distance of the park, right in the middle of all the action.
