      I sit here with the fall breeze on my face and look around our apartment and my mind races a mile a minute.  What can we fit in our seven suitcases?  What needs to be left behind? Already I feel the loss of the dark blue dishes we were given for our wedding and our patchwork assortment of coffee mugs and Judah’s little crayon-streaked toddler bed. My heart aches over saying good-bye to the church family that I have known and loved for seven years, and the thought of starting over from scratch in a brand new church.       multitude monday, #282-289. Monday, October 4, 2010   I had a wonderful weekend away with the ladies from my church. There are so many unique and powerful stories of God’s faithfulness. sunny, windy October day on Litchfield beach. hotels with Starbucks inside them. David and the kids at home together all weekend … picnic on the porch, cooking together, breakfast with Nick and Lindsey, playing in the park, playing hide-and-seek.     pIcnic on the porch.

      pIcnic on the porch. Monday, October 4, 2010   Julie was away this weekend at a women’s retreat with our church.  So I had our little ones and grand plans.  I pictured serving chicken and rice on the porch in the cool evening, sharing what the Lord’s doing in our lives. I set them up outside and began rushing in and out getting the meal ready.  As soon as I went inside, Amie knocked everything onto the ground and fell off her tupperware stand into it.  When I returned she was face down in her food, screaming, unable to get up with the booster seat belted to her butt.…

      stats. Friday, October 1, 2010   The results of our three-year and one-year well visits are in: Judah – 40 inches (95th percentile), 36 lbs (90th percentile) Amelie – 31 inches (90th percentile), 24 lbs (75th percentile) Our pediatrician predicted that Judah will grow up to be 6 or 6’1, and Amie 5’7.  I am recording this here … and we’ll see if it comes true!
