a happy day.
Life is really stressful now (I know! I mention that in about every other blog post!). Sometimes it’s hard to tear our minds away from the mountain of decisions that need to be made, and made soon. But in the midst of the stress, God gives us such sweet moments. Like a five-hour date last night, thanks to my cousin Betsy.
And like this morning, when Amy and Charissa and I took our kids to the Lake Murray beach. I love these girls–they and their husbands are good friends of ours from college. I think, years ago, we would have day-dreamed that one day our kids would be friends. And here they are.
Wyatt, Max, and Judah, who, it turns out, all have similar personalities. A little quirky. A little introspective. Very imaginative.
You know I’ve recently lived in South Asia when I’m the mom who’s completely unconcerned with my daughter petting a dead fish (hey, at least it’s not a rat).
Judah, on the other hand, needed to take care of the situation and get that fish out of the water (so he grabbed a random little girl’s shovel for the task).
Addie Grace tells the big kids what’s what.
It made my heart so happy to see this crowd thoroughly enjoying one another!
[thanks for the ride, Ames! thanks for the pictures, Chris!]
