zoo!

My cousin’s wife, Liz, is one of my close friends; we lived about a mile apart in Lexington for awhile. She grew up in Indonesia, and has been such a great friend and encouragement to me in this whole adventure of living overseas.  We met up at the zoo with all the kiddos this morning and had such a great time.

I know zoo posts can get a little repetitive (how many pics of your kids looking at animals can you really take?), but I had to document our first visit in two years.  I love this zoo.

Sweet Miss Eliana, who is in-between Judah and Ams in age

Judah was a little concerned about the noise, but the elephants were pretty laid back today

Nate, Liz, and Eliana

Climbing rocks, making John-uncle proud

A path unexplored

Watch out for that guy

Snack time; Keli and Maggie and Alison will understand why I tried to keep from obnoxiously gushing the entire time: “It’s so clean, it’s so nice . . . !”

Looking for big fish

Judah’s favorite animal of the day: “alligators and crocodiles!”

The kids re-bonded instantly

You go girl!

A stop at the playground to run around and slide

Our attempt at a cousin shot

Baboons . . . another reason I’m glad we never moved to Ethiopia

Discovering the water mister

This boy pulled on my hand the whole time, he was so excited

Stopping to dance to the jungle beat

And Amie’s favorite animal: “Look!  A ‘Faffe!!!” But she kept her distance.

Thanks, Stuarts, for a lovely morning!
